1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the After Trials website (https://aftertrials.com) and mobile application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Account Security

2.1 Eligibility

The Service is intended for verified healthcare professionals, medical students, and authorized academic users.

2.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your credentials and all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Medical Disclaimer

The Service is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, is not a diagnostic or treatment tool, and does not create a doctor–patient relationship. You remain fully responsible for all clinical decisions.

4. User Content and License

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of content you upload ("User Content").

4.2 License Grant

By submitting content, you grant After Trials a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to use, display, distribute, and improve the Service.

4.3 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you upload.

5. Patient Privacy and Compliance

You agree not to upload identifiable patient data, to fully anonymize all clinical content, and to comply with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA-equivalent standards, India IT laws).

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer or copy the platform
Scrape or extract data using automated tools
Use the platform to build competing services
Harass, abuse, or mislead users
Share unlawful, harmful, or misleading content

7. Intellectual Property

All platform content (excluding user content) is the property of After Trials and its licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute platform materials without permission.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically. You are responsible for managing cancellations. Payments are generally non-refundable (see Refund Policy).

9. Disclaimers of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee accuracy of user-generated content, continuous or error-free operation, or suitability for specific purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the past 6 months or ₹1,000 (whichever is higher).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless After Trials from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or violation of laws or these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or if required by law or security reasons.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jharkhand, India. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Jamshedpur.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
