Community Guidelines
After Trials is built for people connected to medicine ”” starting with medical
students and doctors, and expanding to the broader healthcare community over
time.
Our goal is simple:
Create a professional space where people in medicine can connect, learn,
collaborate, discover opportunities, and build meaningful professional
relationships.
These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect everyone to follow
when using After Trials.
They apply to profiles, posts, comments, messages, groups, job listings,
research discussions, applications, and other interactions on the Platform.
Be Professional
After Trials is a professional community.
Treat other users with the same professionalism and respect you would expect in
a medical school, hospital, research institution, conference, or professional
workplace.
You should:
- Communicate respectfully;
- Disagree professionally;
- Give constructive feedback;
- Respect different professional and academic backgrounds;
- Avoid unnecessary personal attacks;
- Give credit where it is due; and
- Keep discussions relevant and constructive.
You can strongly disagree with an idea without attacking the person behind it.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

- Remove job listings;
- Restrict messaging;
- Restrict certain Platform features;

- Issue warnings;
- Temporarily suspend an account;

The action we take may depend on the seriousness, frequency, and circumstances
of the violation.
We may take immediate action where necessary to protect users, patients, the

We May Consider Context
Not every situation is identical.
We may consider factors such as:

- Whether someone was targeted;
- The severity of the conduct;
- Whether the behavior was repeated;
- Whether patient privacy was involved;
- Whether the user attempted to correct the issue;
- Whether there is an immediate safety concern; and
- Applicable legal requirements.
We may take action even where conduct does not fit perfectly into an example
listed in these Guidelines if it presents a meaningful risk to users or the
Platform.
Appeals
Where appropriate, users may contact After Trials regarding moderation or
account decisions.
If an appeal process is available for a particular action, we will provide the
relevant instructions.
Appeals should provide relevant context and information that may have been
missed during the original decision.
We may not be able to reverse every decision, particularly where legal,
security, privacy, or safety considerations prevent us from doing so.

These Guidelines describe the standards we expect from users.
They do not mean that every user will always follow them.
